I appreciate hearing about the role the Angel Oak has played in your life. It’s a timely reminder for me to continue to connect with nature; and perhaps to take the short drive to the Angel Oak.
I’ve found learning Trinity Energy Progression has been helpful in really getting me to meditate on a more regular basis. On fairies and wood nymphs … I know they are real.
Ann, I am SO HAPPY for you! As a child, I used to play on and climb that beautiful ANGEL OAK TREE!
My hometown is Charleston, SC and we used to go to John’s Island (where the Angel Oak is located) just to climb the tree! WHAT FUN IT WAS!!!
I also went to St. John’s Episcopal Church on John’s Island for several years! I have wonderful memories of John’s Island…..I used to meditate in the church’s parking lot often. John’s Island is so beautiful ! I so very happy that you have shared your story of blessings, release, and freedom for your body, soul and spirit! I have experienced a freedom that I never thought was possible…but I am finally FREE and feel truly BLESSED! Thank you for sharing your very special awakening! God Bless You! Love, Fran
I’ve known Ann for a number of years, and have been and continue to be honored to be one of those accompanying her on her spiritual journey as she’s been blossoming into her full authentic Self (as I have stepped into mine, too)!
Ann is caring, personable, and very intuitive; she easily connects with others heart-to-heart, and sees and cares about the whole picture and helping others to change their outlook, change their perspective, and shift into a place of empowerment and truly enjoying their life! She always goes the extra mile and for others… and is powerful in accessing Divine frequencies to aid an individual in creating the life they truly desire.
I highly recommend Ann… she is a gem, and a beautiful, beauitful soul!
“The guided meditation was great! I don’t think I thought from work or anywhere else entered my mind while I was doing the meditation. The Reiki was fantastic especially the part that was helping to heal my back.”
Ann is my sister and a very special person. She recently conducted the ceremony of wedding vowel renewal for me and my husband, Jack. We have been married 36 years, and the ceremony she prepared was such a compliment to our life together and the support of our family moving forward. Ann is a very caring person and will work hard to make sure every ceremony she conducts special and fitting for the couples involved.
Love this post Ann!! What you shared is exactly I named the boat, “WHY KNOT?” …sometimes, you just gotta do it b/c you might look back and wonder why you didn’t!! Thanks for sharing!
You have such great experiences around all of this… and it’s been so awesome to watch you step into your own power! What a great testimony to the power of energy healing, even in integration with Western medicine!
Love this post, and this photo! You have a gift for connecting people Ann, and we are all the richer for it! You’ve done a great job of representing Raleigh and all the local cultures/neighborhoods here in the triangle.
My wife Bethany and I were fortunate enough to have Ann McKenzie help us with our wedding back in October. She did an amazing job with our wedding! She helped us with everything we needed as far as vows and any other questions about what to do or expect with the ceremony. She met with us several times before the big day to discuss everything, and always got back to us immediately via phone or email. She made sure that we understood the wedding was about us and we could do everything the way we wanted! She was there to give whatever help we wanted but did not dictate anything if we did not want her to. Ann made our big day extremely smooth and memorable. We were very blessed to have her officiate our wedding! Feel free to ask her to give our contact info if you have any specific questions!
When it came time for my wife, Camille, and I to identify an officiant for our wedding ceremony, we knew the individual had to be one who highlighted our values, beliefs, and love shared. After the first conversation, we instantly knew Ann was God sent. Ann made sure to exceed our expectations by taking the time to get to know each of us and our desires for our special day. She made sure to be thoughtful and considerate of our life stories, giving light to this through her tailored transcript of our ceremony. As a couple, we want our love to inspire others to love. Ann did just that by setting a beautiful tone for our ceremony. We are blessed that we were able to share our union with Ann and are so happy to call her a friend, a bond that will forever be in our hearts! Love Mrs. Candace and Camille Green
Ann, Thank you for the great talk you gave at Mama’s funeral. You said a lot with a few words and reminded us of how blessed we were to have known our wonderful parents. You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you so much!
Donna
Donna,
You know I love your Mama, you and all our family. We are very blessed to have parents who taught us the value of family. I was very nervous but knew Aunt Melba would want me to do it.
My (now) husband and I were nervous about finding an officiant that would be able to capture our spiritual energy and our love story to make our ceremony feel truly unique and meaningful to us. We were so lucky to be introduced to Ann! After our first phone conversation, which ended up lasting an hour because the three of us just could not stop chatting, we knew that we had found someone truly special. Ann is focused on making the ceremony so personalized, and truly wanted to get to know us. We did not feel like just another random couple getting married by someone we had just met. We filled out a short questionnaire and submitted our responses separately to her so she could include some of our own words in the ceremony. It was so sweet hearing what my husband thought of our love through Ann. She was thoughtful, genuine, detail oriented, and helped us write our own vows. When we finally met in person a few weeks before the big day, my husband, Ann and I felt such an immediate connection! By the end of our meeting we were hugging and laughing. On our big day, Ann had such a calming, sweet, loving spirit that helped us truly embrace the beautiful moments of our ceremony. We feel SO lucky to have found Ann- she gave us the ceremony of our dreams!
I had the pleasure to have Ann as my wedding coordinator. She made my day less stressful! She’s very well organized! I highly recommend her for your wedding needs!
I felt an immediate connection with you and Carl. Your words describing each other were so touching, I wanted to jump for joy. After meeting you, I know this was a marriage founded on a deeper sense of spirit in addition to the love you have for each other. I was blessed to be a part of it.
My husband and I feel so lucky to have found Ann to be our wedding officiant. We did a search on thumbtack and received several quotes back. Ann’s fees were very reasonable and she will tailor your ceremony however you want it. On the day of our ceremony she was prompt, made everyone feel comfortable and was very professional. Ann has a lovely sense of humor and is a genuine person. We highly recommend for your special day! Thank you Ann, Julie and Doug Sutter
Ann officiated my wife Kathy and I wedding in October and boy was she a pleasure to work with. Ann helped us create and personalize our vows, she was very friendly yet professional. I strongly recommend using Ann as she is outstanding at performing Weddings.
I really enjoyed the wedding at the beach and the reception. It was fun seeing Kathy’s parent sand her brother again after his June wedding. The kids in the sand ceremony truly made it special.
I want to thank you for inviting me to be part of your ceremony. The love between you and Doug was obvious and I enjoyed meeting your parents. It was a beautiful event.
Awww, Ann, Tag was awesome… and definitely a gift from Sonny after he passed to help fill your house with love and suoport for you and Wil as you both were to move on to other things! What a beautiful homage to such a sweet dog… He obviously fulfilled his “contract” now and can, as you said, run free as much as he wants!
I am sad to hear of Tag’s passing. There is a special place in your heart for a dog whether you have him for a few months or 12 years. I remember him first as that terrified puppy who had never been handled by a human and screamed when we went near him. Marty and I tucked him between us on the sofa, covered him with a blanket and put on a DVD. When the movie finished, Tag came out, warm, comforted, trusting, and sweet, the dog we came to know. I am so glad you wanted him, you gave him a wonderful home and good people to love him. I could not have asked for a better person to take him. Sorry about that 35 pounds thing. His mother really was small. 85 lbs??? Oh my gosh! I feel like I want to apologize for that mistake but it was not a mistake. He was where he needed to be. I know what it is to lose that special dog, you have my sympathy. You will always have what he gave you. My he rest in peace and run with the wind. Carol.
Thank you for telling me about his first few months of life. I am doing well but this made me cry. I know he is running like crazy in the spiritual plane!

Lindsay ,
It was my pleasure to work with you as the photographer for this wedding. Your photography is amazing- it captures the essence of the couple’s feelings for each other on camera. Fantastic job.
I would definitely recommend Ann. My husband and I weren’t really sure the direction we wanted to take with our ceremony, we just knew the things we didn’t want. We met with Ann and talked with her several times before the rehearsal and wedding and she offered us lots of suggestions and good advice about the themes we could use. She was great listener and wanted to make this ceremony about us. We ended up using several of her ideas for our ceremony, she wrote the most beautiful wedding script, and she offered some very useful critiques for each of our vows which made them work so well together for the ceremony. She was very easy to get a hold of, very responsive, fun and full of life. I would recommend Ann to anyone.
Ann is incredible! She spent time getting to know us, both individually and as a couple, and in doing so, incorporated what she learned to create a beautiful and unique ceremony with personalized, heartfelt, and meaningful vows. Ann is a genuine, warm, and calming person who is strives to make sure you have all you need.
I enjoyed getting to know you and Rich before the wedding. The wedding was beautiful, your sister even said she felt your Dad was there when the sun came out just as we were remembering him.
Shannon,
The wedding was beautiful. You made it through even when the venue overbooked the rehearsal time. Everything went according to plan and you were radiant.
Thanks so much for mentoring me in how to meditate and for creating the personalized short meditations for me. Having them tailored to my specific needs and time constraints is just fantastic. They are invaluable tools to center myself and remind me of what’s truly important to me when I’m on the road and get stressed out from the pressures of my job. I am your #1 Fan!
Awww… Thank you, Ann! And THANK YOU for being a friend as well… I’m so glad we set it up to meet (I’m sure again) in this lifetime; I’m glad to help and support you in any way, and you’ve actually been there for me a lot, too, in a very unique way and perspective that keeps me motivated and moving forward! You and your story are very inspiring Ann – this is a great lesson on how to keep moving forward. It’s always hard (don’t I know it!) but if you don’t move with it, you will lose yourself. Hugs, Kris
Ann, thank you for your share. You are right, we have to always move forward with the flow of life events. Find out if there was a lesson, let go and move on. This gave me chills! Every since my grandmother passed away, I feel strongly that she is walking beside me and kicking my other angels into gear to help me on my path. They do not leave us, I see signs of her everywhere. This weekend, as I was packing for a move into our forecer home, I found the card she gave us for our wedding–the envelope said “Best of Luck” and I started sobbing. I miss her so much, but I am thrilled that she is still with me. Thank you for this post!

I am glad the blog helped you and your husband. If there are any other areas of interest for blogs, please let me know. The “Five Love Languages” blog on my website is good for marriages too.
It’s really good thing to know your spouse got your back and he’s not looking elsewhere, i was able to discover my husband has been playing games after i noticed a recent change in his attitude with the help of Superb technologies (superbtechnologies444 @ gmail.com ) who help me spy on my husband and track all his messages.
I am sorry for your issues with your husband. The thing that helps most people in a relationship is learning to love themselves. Then they don’t need anything from others and are able to give love without conditions to those who truly care for them.
